Five residents of Njoro in Nakuru County have died after taking a locally manufactured illicit brew suspected to have been poisonous.
According to residents, the group consumed the brew on Saturday and appeared drunk and sickly on Sunday before succumbing on Monday morning.
Njoro Sub-County police boss Jonathan Kisaka said they were yet to establish the exact cause of the deaths but investigations were underway.
