A family in Busia was Thursday thrown into mourning after a 26-year-old died during police recruitment drive at Busia stadium.
Johnston Elijah Ochieng collapsed after finishing his fourth lap and efforts to resuscitate him turned futile.
The 26-year-old student at Mount Kenya University succumbed at Busia Referral Hospital.
“My brother had no underlying health issues and had adequately prepared for the recruitment. It’s sad that we lost him while searching for a job,” a kin said.
