Police in Kirinyaga are hunting down criminals who broke into Christ the King Mukinduri Catholic Church and stole properties worth more than Sh200, 000.

The incident happened on Sunday night with the gangsters stealing a keyboard and other church items before escaping.

It is suspected the criminals used an iron bar to break the church window before gaining entry.

The church reported the matter at Mutitu Police Post.

“We want probe expedited, the culprits brought to book and the stolen items recovered,” said Church Chairman Peter Gikunju.
