Less than a week after spent cartridges were found outside a church in Bulapesa, Isiolo County, explosives has been recovered at the church compound spreading fear and panic among the residents of Mti wa Makaa area.
The explosives were discovered by children while playing outside Jesus Foundation Glorious Centre Church who then informed one of the clerics Timothy Koome who immediately alerted authorities.
The faithful, were shocked to later learn that one of the three suspicious devices was a live explosive which could have exploded and claimed lives.
Area Manager Wario Elgoi rushed to the church and collected the devices and took them to Central Police Station where one was established to be live.
“We want thorough investigations done because we are worried over the recent happenings. We wonder why the explosives are not being dropped elsewhere,” Pastor Koome said.
