Kibera court has jailed for one year a Nigerian national for insulting his girlfriend and police officers in Gathondeki area within Dagoretti in Nairobi.
David Olaydaju allegedly on Thursday threatened to beat up his lover Edith Wachira and some neighbours within Hill view estate area creating disturbance in the area.
The suspect would run after the lady while proceeding to report the matter at a nearby police station forcing her to dash into one of the eateries for safety.
Olaydaju, the court was told, followed the lover to the restaurant and started insulting everyone including three officers who were enjoying a meal.
The officers would later arrest the violent man and rush him to Kabete Police Station.
When he appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Philip Mutua, the remorseful suspect said he was irked by the woman for locking him in the house for several hours.
The court ordered him to pay Sh10, 000 fine or serve one month jail for the offence after pleading guilty to counts of creating disturbance.
