A Meru based police officer has been arrested for reportedly defiling and impregnating a 16-year old minor in Mea area, Igembe North Sub-County.
Corporal Julius Ndambu,57, in charge of Mea police post is said to have committed the act inside his house within the police post lines on diverse dates between January 1 and January 13, 2022.
The class seven pupil led detectives to the scene of the crime before she was rushed to a nearby health centre where it was confirmed that indeed she was expectant.
The officer is currently being held at Laare Police Station awaiting completion of investigations and arraignment.
