Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has reorganized his cabinet and sent two county executives on compulsory leave in efforts to ensure enhanced service delivery.
Trade, Tourism and Cooperatives Chief Officer Adan Adin takes over the Health department in same capacity replacing Newton Wambugu who resigned last week.
The Health Executive Ms Racheal Kamau and her Public Service and Sanitation counterpart Beth Karimi were sent on compulsory 45-day leave.
The new Health executive is Dr Kwai Wanjaria, who previously headed the Lands, Urbanisation and Physical Planning docket.
The leave, Mr Kahiga said, is to allow the executives time to rest and recharge.
Finance executive Mr Robert Thuo and his Education counterpart Margaret Macharia will take over Land and Public Service and Sanitation dockets respectively in an acting capacity.
