Four people died and more than 15 were seriously injured in an head-on collision between a truck and a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) along Nairobi-Mombasa highway on Wednesday morning.
According to Voi police boss Bernastein Shari, the Dreamline bus headed to Mombasa from Busia was trying to overtake the truck when the accident happened killing the two drivers, the lorry’s turnboy and an unidentified female passenger on the spot.
The injured were rushed to Moi County Referral Hospital.
The administrator appealed to motorists to be careful and vigilant on the roads especially during the festive season to prevent more deaths.
