Isiolo Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan Guyo has urged organizations offering humanitarian support in the county to prioritize projects aimed at alleviating poverty and improve livelihoods for the residents.
The county boss, during a meeting with representatives of the organizations working in the county, maintained that his government would closely work with development partners to uplift the lives of Mwananchi.
“My administration will work closely with the development partners to address the many challenges our people are facing,” Mr Guyo stressed.
Hunger, water shortage, climatic challenges, insecurity, land grabbing and limited access to quality education are among the challenges the locals are facing.
USAID mission country director David Gosney promised to ensure the organization’s projects implemented in the county were within the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) in bid to ensure improved livelihood in line with the community’s needs.
