Police in Tranzoia are holding a man who hacked to death his 31-year-old son for allegedly interrupting his sleep.
The victim who had been away for four years returned home on Sunday evening while drunk and found his 73-year-old father asleep at their Charangany Chepsiro’s home.
Police reports indicate that he tried waking him up by lifting the bed a move that prompted Mr James Tarus to hit the him with a blunt object on the head killing him on the spot.
The suspect would later tie a rope around the son’s neck and restraining him on a sofa.
Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the murder while the suspects awaits arraignment.
