More than 100 Kenyans have died from Covid-19 in the last one week.

Ministry of Health figures show that 107 Kenyans have succumbed to the disease between Monday (March 29) and Sunday (April 4) period when Kenya recorded a total of 8774 positive cases.

In April 4 update, 911 people out of a sample size of 6045 tested positive for Coronavirus bringing the total confirmed cases to 138, 988 and cumulative tests since the first case was reported in March last year to 1, 517, 637.

Some 18 people died from the disease whose positivity rate on Sunday stood at 15.1 percent.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19:

*Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.

*Maintain a safe distance from the next person.

*Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.

*Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

*Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

*Stay home if you can avoid going out.
