Fear has engulfed residents of Kambi Garba in Isiolo following the death of a renowned peace ambassador Ms Elizabeth Ibrahim who was stabbed to death in a suspected land dispute.

Reports indicate that Ms Ibrahim was attacked by her neighbour identified as Patrick Nawit who stabbed her severally killing her on spot on Monday evening.

Irate villagers descended on the suspect beating him mercilessly before he was rescued by police officers who rushed him to the hospital while in critical condition.

The body of the late has been moved to Isiolo Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Isiolo Woman Representative Ms Rehema Jaldesa mourned the late as a brave woman who diligently served her community.

“She was an epitome of servant leadership, a kind and brave woman whose love, passion and dedication to the community was unmatched,” Ms Jaldesa shared.

Police have launched investigation to establish the motive behind the killing as the suspect awaits arraignment after discharge from the hospital.
