Isiolo Woman Rep aspirant Nasibo Hawa Abdirahman has promised the county’s Rendile community that her adminstration would ensure their voices are heard if elected in the August polls.
The ODM aspirant claimed that despite the community having more than 1000 votes, elected leaders continued to marginalise and sideline them.
“I will ensure your needs are well taken care off because you are residents of Isiolo county and deserve proper representation just like any other community,” said Ms Nasibo.
The politician promised to empower women and youth and deal with drug and substance abuse which has ruined lives of many residents.
“Many young people are engaging in drug abuse due to lack of jobs. If you elect me, I commit to deal with the menace,” she promised.
Others seeking to unseat Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa who is seeking re-election on Independent ticket include Sumeya Bishar (DAP-K) and Mumina Bonaya of Jubilee Party.
