A chef who attempted to kill his former boss after he was sacked has been arraigned in court.
Erick Kinzi is said to have adminstered insecticide powder to Seveline Kanini’s porridge flour with the intention to injure or harm at a hotel in Uthiru on February 15.
He reportedly went to the kitchen and mixed the chemical with the flour but one of his colleagues saw him and took away the container before reporting the matter later.
His ex-employer was away during the incident but was informed of the matter three days later.
A report was made at Kabete Police Station and the suspect arrested.
Appearing before Kibera Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Derrick Kutto, Mr Kinzi denied the charges and was released on Sh500, 000 bond.
The case will proceed on March 15.
