A section of Borana politicians from Isiolo among them Woman Representative Rehema Jaldesa, former Governor Godana Doyo, Isiolo North MP Hassan Odha and Devolution CAS Abdul Bahari have today met President Uhuru Kenyatta where they resolved to support Azimio la Umoja movement.
The Press Point is reliably informed that the leaders will vie on either Jubilee or United Democratic Movement (UDM) with Ms Jaldesa ditching Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party.
In the meeting held on Saturday, the leaders discussed various challenges facing the county residents including drought and appealed to the government to intervene.
The leaders are set to hold a meeting with the community elders ahead of tomorrow’s announcement on their way forward.
Ms Jaldesa has been the only legislator from the county supporting Dr Ruto.
