Police in Kimimini, Trans Nzoia County are investigating mysterious deaths of two police officers, a wife and husband, who were shot dead at Kiungani Police Station’s police quarters.
Police reports indicate that Mrs Dorcas Chebet visited Kiungani Police station and met two officers before getting into her husband Abel Andari’s house.
Police officers and residents were shocked to hear gunshots from the house an hour later.
Shortly after, another gunshot followed by another at intervals were heard from the same house.
Preliminary reports indicate that the female police officer shot dead the husband before killing her self.
On breaking into the house that was locked from inside, officers found the lifeless bodies of the couple lying on the floor.
A G3 rifle and three spent cartridges were recovered from the house.
The bodies were moved to Kitale County Referral Hospital mortuary.
