Two people died and several were injured during a confrontation pitting Turbo constituency residents and suspected Kenya Defence Forces soldiers over a disputed land in Uasin Gishu County.
The residents were allegedly protesting erection of beacons at a disputed piece of 9000 acres of land where Chebarus Primary School and several other social amenities are built.
Following a confrontation, the armed men are said to have fired in the air killing the duo on the spot and injuring others who are currently hospitalized.
