Police in Naivasha are hunting down a police officer suspected to have shot dead his supervisor at AAPS camp at Kedong Ranch after demanding to know why he reported late for work.

Corporal Joseph Muthunga is said to have arrived at the camp drunk while he was supposed to be on duty on Sunday night.

Upon asking why he came late, the suspect picked an argument with Sergeant Ayub Polo but shooting him on his lower knee, left ear and shoulder using a G3 rifle.

Five spent cartridges were discovered at the scene of crime.

The suspect has since gone into hiding raising fear and suspicion among locals.
