The 60-year-old Isiolo trader who disappeared on Christmas Day while going home from work has returned home, eight months later.
Abduba Boru Waqo disappeared while heading to his Kulamawe home around 7:30 pm from his butchery in Isiolo town where he worked the entire day.
Residents and family members broke into tears of joy on seeing their kin with preparations for celebrations underway.
The businessman said he was dropped by the abductors at Maili Saba in neighbouring Meru County at midnight but arrived at his home around 7AM on Thursday morning.
The family earlier told journalists they suspected the businessman could have been seized by the government.
