New Isiolo County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding has called for concerted effort towards eradicating criminal activities in the region.
Mr Omoding said he was fully committed and prepared to deal with the insecurity menace that the county continues to grapple with.
“If you come with a gun, we shall face you with guns. Come in peace and we shall embrace you,” Mr Omoding said in what was perceived to be directed to cattle rustlers.
Addressing journalists in Isiolo town, the administrator said peace was only achievable if all stakeholders played their part diligently.
“Everyone from the family level should be responsible in their small ways so that we all ensure peace in our county,” he said.
The administrator also warned those engaging in crime especially brutal killing of innocent people saying the security team was were ready to deal with them while applying the law equally.
“Life is priceless and anyone trying to take away innocent lives will be dealt with ruthlessly,” he warned.
The administrator spoke during a handover exercise from the outgoing County Commissioner Herman Shambi, with who they swapped roles and will take over as the new Nandi County Commissioner.
Mr Shambi asked Isiolo residents and stakeholders to accord the new officer necessary assistance to ensure the smooth running of the operations.
