Police have been barred from arresting and prosecuting Meru Senator Mithika Linturi over Sh530 million bank forgery claims.

The Senator is said to have forged signatures to secure the multimillion loan using assets belonging to his separated wife, a former chief of staff at Deputy President William Ruto’s office.

High Court Judge Weldon Korir issued the temporal orders after the Senator rushed to court lamenting that the arrest was meant to intimidate him into changing his political stand on several key issues.
