More than 5000 Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) candidates did not sit for the exams according to government officials.
Of the 752, 891 candidates who had registered for the exams across the more than 10, 000 exam centres, 747, 161 did the exams.
Some 5730 missed the exams.
