Police have joined the ongoing search for bodies of a couple that drowned in River Nyamindi in Kirinyaga on Sunday evening while taking selfies as they enjoyed the scenery.
The lovers had gone to the river while on a motorbike and were holding each other before they fell into the swollen river.
The duo had reportedly been warned against drawing closer to the waters but did not listen.
Residents say a number of people have drowned at the river in the recent past.
