Ignorant Tharaka Nithi County Women Representative Ms Beatrice Nkatha has continued holding political meetings in the guise of distributing NGAAF money amid ravaging Covid-19 disease.
Despite President Uhuru Kenyatta banning public meetings, Ms Nkatha is boorishly going round the villages exposing the most vulnerable elderly men and women to the dangerous virus.
On Monday, March 22, 2021, Ms Nkatha congregated hundreds of members of Kirukuma Members of Cooperative Society and Kageni B Women Group in Tharaka constituency against the Covid-19 disease health protocols.
Desperate of cheap political mileage, Ms Nkatha could be seen on a photo proudly posted on social media surrounded by the elderly struggling to hold the edge of a cheque leaflet that she was displaying for a camera.
Every person including the ‘Hon’ Women Rep had no put on facemask despite the fact that she mingles with very many people.
Such behavior portrays a politician who does not care about exposing constituents to the virus provided that those who will be alive by 2022 will vote for her.
If at all President Kenyatta directive was clear, Tharaka Nithi County Security team led by County Commissioner Ms Beverly Opwora is to blame for the ‘Hon’s’ rebelliousness.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19:
*Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
*Maintain a safe distance from the next person.
*Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
*Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
*Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
*Stay home if you can avoid going out.
