A 35-year-old man who defiled and impregnated a 13-year-old daughter in Kigumo, Murang’a County has been arrested.
On noticing the condition of the girl, Gatumbi Primary School headteacher took her to a local hospital where she was confirmed to be six-months pregnant.
The girl has been put under care of the children’s officer while police hold the suspect Ephram Kimani Macharia as investigations continue.
The minor, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, told detectives that the father had slept with her severally since July 2020.
The suspect will be charged with incest and defilement.
