A senior police officer has been shot dead by bandits at Kapedo bridge four days after a senior GSU officer was killed and three other officers sustained gunshot wounds at the area during an operation to restore calm in the region.
Sources say the officer was headed to a nearby camp when he was ambushed by the attackers.
The spate of attacks has paralysed key services in the area including learning.
Six years ago, 21 police officers were killed in a similar incident.
