A truck belonging to Njeru Tea Factory has been involved in an accident at Gitombani village in Maara constituency, Tharaka Nithi while transporting green tea leaves to the factory.

An eye-witness told thepresspoint.com that the Tuesday evening accident could have been caused by the slippery roads.

“The muddy road is very slippery due to heavy rains pouring along the Mount Kenya Forest, ” said John Mutembei, a villager.

He said there were no fatalities but the occupants were injured and rushed to hospital.
