Police in Kilifi County are investigating what transpired between a couple whose lifeless bodies were recovered in an apartment on Saturday morning and are suspected to have committed suicide by throwing themselves from the fifth floor of the building.
Police reports indicate that the apartment’s guard heard a loud bang in the backyard around 3 am and immediately rushed to the area only to find a body of a naked man.
While trying to find out the identity of the man, a second female body landed on his feet with a thud.
He immediately reported the matter at Mtwapa Police Station.
It has since been established that the 23-year-old woman only identified as Nyokabi was a tenant at the apartment while the man suspected to have been her lover identified as Rastaman.
Detectives also established that the duo had been engaged in a fight as the floor of their house had blood stains and a glass table in the living room had been shattered.
Police are also looking into the possibility that the pair could have been killed by another person.
