Police in Homabay have launched probe into yesterday night’s killing of a clinical medicine student and dumping of his body near a correctional facility.

The body of Austine Omondi, a second-year student at KMTC Homabay town campus, was discovered in a pool of blood behind the town’s GK Prison according to police sources.

Officers investigating the murder suspect the student was hit with a blunt object as had bruises on his body and that he could have died from excessive bleeding.

“We are seeking to establish what transpired before his death, who were involved and what time the incident occurred while we trace the deceased last moments,” one of the investigators told The Press Point.
