Police in Nyeri have launched investigations into the murder of a 75-year-old man who was found dead in his house few hours after having an argument with his wife.
The body of Weise Klaus Armin, a Deutsch national, was found dangling from the door frame to their bedroom at Muhasibu Estate last Friday.
His wife Rosemary Wangui, 38, had earlier during the material day visited her sick mother in Othaya only to later come and find her husband mad at her.
In a report made at Nyeri Central Police Station, the woman said Mr Armin accused her of infidelity and threatened to stab her with a knife to death forcing her to run away.
Reports indicate that the man locked himself in the bedroom where he allegedly committed suicide.
Police officers who visited the home found Mr Armin’s body hanging on a rope in the bedroom, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said.
Detectives are currently recording statements from several sources as they seek to establish what transpired.
