Police in Kiambu County are hunting down a senior female police officer who reportedly killed Police Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru and took off with his firearm that he later used to shoot dead a businessman Peter Ndwiga in Juja.
Corporal Caroline Kangogo is said to have lured the businessman to a hotel at Kimbo, Juja around 4PM on Sunday where she shot him dead before fleeing around midnight leaving the dead man’s body lying on the bed.
Details shared by detectives show that the ‘serial killer’ paid for the room and that she shot the man on the head killing him on the spot and later told an attendant at the hotel that she had gone to buy something.
A report made at Theta Police station vide OB No 13/06/07/2021 indicated that the owner of the hotel alerted police after the body was discovered in one of the rooms.
The body had a bullet wound on the head and police recovered spent cartridge in the room.
A wallet with an Identity Card of a 32-year-old male and car keys were recovered from the deceased’s pocket before the body was moved to General Kago mortuary awaiting post mortem.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has cushioned the public against the serial killer who has gone berserk and is on a killing spree.
“The suspect who is armed and dangerous has been on the run since yesterday. We are cautioning the public especially men to be on the lookout for the rogue officer who is luring men into trap before executing them in cold blood,” DCI shared on Twitter.
Kenyans have been asked to report to police should they spot the officer said to be covering herself in buibui.
