Isiolo Health Executive Wario Galma has been vaccinated against Covid-19 at Isiolo Referral Hospital becoming the first person in the county to take the jab.
Others who took the jab during the launch of the exercise were the hospital management board chair and two health workers.
“The vaccine is safe and will boost immunity against the disease,” said Mr Galma.
This comes few days after Health Chief Officer Ibrahim Alio asked health workers to come out and be vaccinated as were at higher risk of contracting the disease.
The county on Wednesday received 1500 doses of the vaccine that will vaccinate direct health workers and support staff across all the health facilities in the county.
