A four-year-old child died when fire razed down a house at 78 Tank Battalion near Isiolo Referral Hospital last night.
Reports indicate that the child had been left under the care of the house help when the fire broke out at the staff quarters.
The house help was rescued from the house while unconscious, a police source revealed to The Press Point.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that several people including soldiers residing at the camp were injured during the incident but police are yet to give a comprehensive report over the same.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
