The hearing of former immediate Isiolo North MP Joseph Samal’s incitement case has been set for next month.
The ex-MP was arrested in mid-June for allegedly inciting communities against each other and charged with ethnic contempt contrary to NCIC Act.
Mr Samal, who is out on Sh100, 000 bond, is said to have made the statement on November 22, 2020 during a meeting in Ngaremara ward.
The prosecution team will line up seven witnesses to testify in the matter.
When he appeared before Isiolo Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai on Monday, Mr Samal, through his lawyer told the court that besides being furnished with charge sheets and other documents, the recordings had not been availed.
The prosecution counsel said they will be provided with the clips at their own costs.
The Magistrate scheduled the hearing for October 27, 2021.
