Grief has engulfed Chuka University fraternity after a female student committed suicide at the institution over suspected love gone sour.
The lady reportedly jumped off the sixth floor of Science Complex building sustaining serious injuries that she succumbed to while at the hospital.
It is still not clear what made the lady take away her life but unconfirmed reports indicate that she had some disagreement with a male friend.
The incident happened as pockets of students continued with learning in the lecture halls and across the corridors.
Students castigated the adminstration over slow response saying the lady’s life could have been saved if an ambulance was offered in good time.
They took to social media accusing the management of failure to assist students going through psychological issues by offering counseling services.
“Let us speak up. Depression is real but death is never the solution. Rest in Peace,” Mburu Maina shared on Facebook.
The University management had not shared any official information concerning the incident by the time of going to press.
