A Makueni based Primary School teacher who authored a Facebook post alleging the death of Teacher Service Commission (TSC) CEO Nancy Macharia has been arrested.
The 31-year-old Jeremiah Mwavuganga, police sources indicate, used a fake account purporting to be that of the TSC.
“Breaking News Nancy Macharia is dead. Her body has been found in Oyuus bed…..,” the suspect had shared.
Emali Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau detectives immediately launched an extensive forensic analysis that led to the arrest of the Musiini Primary School teacher at Makutano Shopping Centre in Makueni.
A mobile phone suspected to have been used in creating the post was recovered from the suspect.
The detectives have also established that the account used in creating the post belongs to Mr Samuel.
The suspect is being held at DCI headquarters awaiting arraignment tomorrow.
