Azimio One Kenya Alliance Presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga has picked Martha Karua as his running mate in the August General Elections.
During the unveiling at KICC, Mr Odinga said the coalition after intense consultations decided to pick a woman to end the male domination in the past.
Terming Ms Karua as a true and faithful partner and team player, Mr Odinga said the running mate should be a problem solver to the President and lighten the burden for the Head of State.
The office, he said, should be a workshop of innovation incubation and President’s last line of defence administratively.
“The Deputy President cannot be competitor to President but complement. He or she should be co-worker and co-creator with the President,” he said.
Mr Odinga also unveiled a list of his cabinet secretaries with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka heading the cabinet.
