Eliud Kipchoge has broken his own world record after clocking 2:01:09 in 2022 Berlin Marathon.
The 37-year-old icon last won the 2018 marathon in German capital after clocking 2:01:39, 30 seconds more than his 2022 record.
The September 25 win brings to four the total titles Kipchoge has bagged in Berlin
President William Ruto led Kenyans in congratulating the icon whom he termed a king of Marathon.
“The greatest has done it again breaking the world record. Congratulations for winning Berlin Marathon for the fourth time,” Dr Ruto said.
