Former governor Godana Doyo’s bid has received a major boost after UDA’s gubernatorial aspirant Hussein Tene shelved ambition in his favour.

Mr Doyo who is vying on an independent ticket said he was assured of a win in the August polls as they had agreed to walk together in the interest of the county residents.

He promised to incorporate Mr Tene in his campaigns and later in his government if he wins in the elections.

“We have been holding talks for a while and have resolved to work together to form a government that represents the full face of the county,” said Mr Doyo.

Mr Tene said he had following wide consultations realized that a win was only guaranteed if he joined hands with the pioneer county chief.

“Our competitors have been taking advantage of our disunity to further divide our community for their own selfish gains but that has come to an end,” said Mr Tene.
