Three people have died and five others injured after a mobile service provider vehicle they were traveling in rolled severally within Donbosco area along Kariguini-Kiritiri road in Embu County.
Police reports indicate that the eight were on the way to sell airtime in Kiritiri market.
Eye-witnesses said the vehicle veered off the road before overturning. “It was speeding and first swerved before overturning,” Charles Kimathi, a resident, said.
The five who were trapped in the vehicle’s wreckage were rescued by residents and police officers who visited the scene.
The bodies were taken to Embu Level Five hospital morgue.
