Isiolo Governor Abdi Ibrahim Guyo has made major changes in his cabinet and promoted Trade Chief Officer Lucy Kaburu as the new Health Executive.
In the reorganization seeking to improve service delivery in the county, Deputy Governor James Lowasa has been moved from the Health department to Education replacing outgoing Education CEC Aileen Kajuju who has been laid off.
Tourism, Trade, Cooperatives and SME Executive Lawrence Mwongela have been swapped with Finance and Economic planning, ICT and Innovation counterpart Abdullahi Banticha in the new changes announced by County communication coordinator Hussein Salesa.
“The changes seek to improve service delivery and ensure the administration achieves Guyo’s promise to the electorates,” noted Mr Salesa.
Lands, Water and Agriculture executives Yusuf Dahir, Ali Wario Sarite and Yusuf Mohammed retained their respective dockets.
Ms Kaburu is set for vetting and subsequent swearing in next week takes over the Health docket which has faced multiple challenges including a non-functional mortuary at the Referral Hospital, drug shortage and looming health workers strike.
