Police in Chuka Igambang’ombe, Tharaka Nithi County are holding a man who allegedly assaulted his parents and sister leaving them with serious injuries.
Reports indicate that the 34-year-old Lewis Kimathi was beating his son over an unknown reason when the three intervened.
Irked by their move, the suspect attacked them with a sharp machete leaving them with deep cuts on different parts of their bodies.
The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The suspect is being interrogated as investigations continue before his arraignment for the offence.
