The long wait by Kenyans to know their next President will soon be over after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission announced that it will make public the President elect at 3PM.
In a release, IEBC said the Presidential results will be announced at the national tallying centre at Bomas of Kenya by Presidential Returning Officer Wafula Chebukati.
Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja leaders have in the last few days been claiming that their candidates William Ruto and Raila Odinga had won creating confusion among Kenyans on which divide was telling the truth.
Tallying done by some of the media houses show that Mr Odinga and Dr Ruto are neck-to-neck in the contest to succeed outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“The wait has been long but I am happy that it is almost over. Kenyans should remain united regardless of who wins,” Suleiman Musa shared on Facebook.
