Politicians in Nyeri have been warned against destroying their rival’s campaign materials following surge in cases of vandalisation of billboard posters.
County IEBC Manager Anastacia Nduku said the agency was working with police to track down culprits behind the vices so that they face the law.
Asking the candidates to exercise political tolerance, the returning officer said electoral violence will not be tolerated.
“We will not allow any aspirant destroy their opponents campaign materials because we are committed to ensuring a free and fair elections,” she said.
