Police in Nakuru have launched investigations into a fire incident that razed down a house in Manyani estate killing a mother and her two daughters aged 17 and 11 years.
The cause of the inferno is yet to be established though residents cite electric fault.
The bodies were moved to the Nakuru Municipal mortuary.
The woman’s only son, a form four leaver, escaped death as was not living with the mother and siblings.
After learning of the tragedy, he rushed to the area and joined neighbours in putting out the fire with hopes that his family had escaped only to later know they had actually died.
Neighbours raised alarm after noticing smoke from the house’s roof and by the time they gained access to the room, the fire had already spread.
