A video that went viral during late President Mwai Kibaki’s burial service at Othaya Approved school grounds of his grandson ‘refusing’ to shake hands with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is fake.
Our investigations revealed that the video was edited for unknown reasons.
The original video shows the grandson greeting Mr Odinga and then turning his back ostensibly to avoid the glare of the cameras.
The part of the two shaking hands was edited out with those who circulated it online claiming that the youthful man refused to greet the ODM leader misleading a section of Kenyans.
The video elicited mixed reactions with a section of netizens slamming the grandson for “snubbing the handshake” and others defending for on grounds that he was at liberty of making own decisions.
