Police in Nyandarua are interrogating a 21-year-old man for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old minor at Suguroi village.
Michael Lolochum Ltaasan, a Samburu herder, lured the boy who was at their farm grazing his father’s cattle to a thicket where he committed the heinous act.
The distraught minor rushed home and narrated the ordeal to his mother who immediately alerted police.
Irate residents had threatened to lynch him before his arrest.
The case is being handled by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit.
The suspect is detained at Ndaragwa police station awaiting arraignment for defilement.
