At least eight people have been injured in a banditry attack within Segel area in Marsabit County.
Reports indicate that the victims were traveling in three Land Cruiser vehicles when the attackers started firing indiscriminately towards the vehicles injuring them.
It remains unclear where the injured were traveling to.
Some of them including a police officer who was escorting the team are being treated at local health facilities while plans are underway to refer two of them who were badly wounded to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment.
Over 20 people have been killed in banditry attacks in the county since last December’s killing of 12 in separate attacks across villages in Saku constituency.
