A section of Bulapesa residents has endorsed ex-Bulapesa MCA Moses Githinji to vie for the seat in August elections and rejected recent decision by a section of Ameru community that gave Mr Witherford Mwirigi greenlight to vie for the same seat.
The decision, according to the locals, was allegedly arrived at owing to the aspirant’s development record therefore need to give him another chance to complete work he had started while as MCA.
According to them, the community had suffered under the leadership of the incumbent MCA Idd Hassan Kimathi and found it wise to change the leadership.
“We came together as a community and looked back at sufferings we have been through and compared to when he (Githinji) was our representative. He deserves a second chance,” said Mr Luke Mithika.
The group has told off a group of Meru Community that recently endorsed candidates for Wabera and Bulapesa wards claiming that they were from Wabera ward and therefore should not decide on behalf Bulapesa residents.
“We have no problem with our leaders but we were not involved. They sat and made decisions without involving Bulapesa community,” he added.
Being cosmopolitan, the residents said aspirants vying for Bulapesa MCA seat must seek support from all communities living there.
