Fugitive James Kifo Muriuki who reportedly sexually assaulted his wife by sealing her genital with superglue has been arrested at a witch den in Kaningo village, Kitui seeking police ‘repellant’.
The 30-year-old Kifo from Nkondi in Tharaka constituency was arrested around 3am on Thursday morning by a combined team of detectives from Special Crime Unit, and Directorate of Criminal Investigation Officers from Tseikuru and Tharaka South.
The officers also arrested the suspected witch, Murogi Maingi who is reportedly known for practicing witchcraft within Kaningo area for many years.
The two are expected to be arraigned at a Chuka court.
Kifo allegedly inserted pepper, salt and onions into his wife’s private parts using a sharp knife before applying superglue mixed with sand to ‘seal’ it off as his son watched in pain.
The man demanded the woman to list all the men ‘she had slept with’ while he was in Nairobi where he reportedly worked as a night guard.
The man, who had just sneaked into the county from Nairobi, then instructed his son to hold the spotlight for him as he tortured his mother.
After sealing off the sexual organ, he went on and blocked her ears and mouth with the mixture of superglue and sand as she screamed.
Kifo vanished into the bushes near River Kathita on hearing some villagers approaching.
